Pre-Screening
Once we receive your application we will give you a call to go through your information with you.

Face-to-face Interview
If pre-screening is completed successfully, you will be invited for an interview with a member of the recruitment team. We will go through the role that you have applied for and work we have to offer, your skills and experience and the benefits of working for Oakwood Healthcare.
If your applications is successful, you will need to provide the following information at your interview.
- Complete Registration Form
- Full Work History
- Proof of Identity
- Proof of NI Number and / or right to work
- Minimum of 2 satisfactory written references
- Enhanced DBS disclosure
- Health Declaration
- Evidence of Qualification and Experience
- Proof of NMC registration (qualified staff only)

Training
All Oakwood Healthcare staff attend free online mandatory training which meets the requirements of the nationally recognised Care Certificate induction standards. If you have valid & sufficient training certificates already, please let a member of our recruitment team know.
Training is carried out online and you will be sent a link to complete your training in your own time. Training must be completed prior to working any shifts and must then be completed on a monthly basis for you to remain compliant.
All staff are issued Oakwood Healthcare handbooks which detail our policies and procedures.
Once you have completed training we can issue your Oakwood Healthcare badge!

Training with Oakwood Healthcare Solutions
All of our training is in line with the care certificate; officially launched in March 2015, with the aim of equipping health and social care support workers with the knowledge and skills they need to provide safe, compassionate, quality care and support.
What does the care certificate mean for you?
New workers are just as important to us as our existing workforce. Our induction programme ensures all staff are given the appropriate mandatory training to feel confident and prepared for their role. The theory elements of the programme ensure knowledge of legislation and guidance and the practical elements allow trainees to practice their learning in a safe environment, before joining the workforce.
Further support and guidance are provided throughout your journey with Oakwood Healthcare in a variety of ways including, shadowing, supervisions and ongoing and specialist training, allowing everyone who joins Oakwood Healthcare to feel fully prepared for their new care role.

All of our workers are given the opportunity for further development and progression and are encouraged to undertake their level 2 diploma in health and social care, completed around working hours if desired.
